Anthony Blurton-Jones

Anthony Blurton-Jones began riding in 1999, at the age of seven and in 2001 began training with Alex Reinfels in dressage and show jumping.

In 2005, Anthony purchased a 5 year old imported KWPN mare, VDL T’Prinzesz-Katerina, and began competing on the Trillium Circuit the following year. Anthony qualified for the Trillium Championships and was a member of the first place winning Central West jumping team.

In 2008 and 2009, Anthony competed successfully on the Ontario A circuit in the 1.10m Junior/Amateur divisions, ending the 2009 show season by winning the Equicup 1.30m Grand Prix at Fox Run.

Anthony plans to continue competing on the A circuit for the 2010 season in the 1.10m/1.20m Junior/Amateur division.

Anthony keeps his horses on the family farm in Puslinch, Ontario, and is an honor-role student at Bishop MacDonell High School in Guelph. Anthony hopes to attend the University of Guelph for the Biomedical program, before applying to the Ontario Veterinary College. Anthony also enjoys cross-country running with the Bishop MacDonell team.
